KKR on the top of table now finished things again with clean and simple game play, they restricted the RR in the first 6 overs with D Short feeling very uncomfortable with spin, Rahane looking good got out quickly, Samson followed the captain to the pavilion without contributing much. Again Stokes did not contribute much and got out in the 16 over, soon the tail was exposed with Butler fighting from the other end. RR batsmen could not accelerate in the last 4 overs, on the other hand KKR bowlers bowled well, captain Dinesh Kartik used the spin option most of the time bringing in the right changes at the right time. Kuldeep Yadav and Piyush Chawla performing well with bowling.
KKR needing 161 started off well with Utappa and Sunil Narine scoring run fluently, the middle order batsmen including the captain of KKR batted smartly without taking risks, they paced the innings well. Rahane mentioned that his team was 15-20 runs short, their team did not field well and team intensity was’t that great on their own home ground. Robin Utappa scoring 48 off 36 balls was confident and hitting ball straight and magnificently. Nitish Rana again playing well for his team with a steady performance in both batting and bowling, as a part time bowler he picked up 2 wickets and initiated a run out off his bowling, as a batsmen performing as the situation demands. He looks very well organized, play both spin and fast bowling very well.
RR need to improve and learn to score a lot of run at the death, Ben Stokes showed a lot of intensity but not enough against KKR. Your comments?
