Match 18 turned out to be a good contest between the best sides of this season, KKR started the day setting a target of 191, Chris Lynn firing from the KKR side with the bat, Captain Dinesh Kartik and Utappa making useful contributions from the other end. Mujeeb, Tye and Ashwin doing well in bowling for KingsXI.
But Chris Gayle and KL Rahul took the game away from KKR, both scoring at the same rate with some fantastic cricket shots. KL Rahul showing his class with excellent footwork and pull shpts, wintage Gayle hitting some classic shots with the run rate almost over 10 runs. Rain stopped play with reduced total of 125 in 13 overs(D/L method). Gayle and Rahul did that with ease.
Andre Russell walked off the field with an injury concern. KingsXI looking a dangerous side this season are on the top of the table, if Gayle continues like this, then KingsXI are not far from their first ever IPL title. Your thoughts?
