Chris Gayle proved his monies worth by scoring a hundred in 58 balls, this was his 6th IPL hundred, he proved he is worth much more than the most expensive pick this season. He batted till the end and devastated the SRH bowlers, the best bowler of SRH was taken to task and hit mercilessly by Gayle going for 55 runs in 4 overs. SRH did not execute their bowling plans correctly, Billy Stanlake did not play this match which could have costed the match for SRH. Gayle was dropped on 14 by the keeper at the bowling Rashid which proved to be a very expensive drop at the end. KK Nair promoted at No. 3 for KingsXI did well to give most of the strike to Gayle and watched the onslaught from the other end
SRH batting could not capitulate on the KingsXI bowling, very good bowling performances from Sran, Tye and Mujeeb which kept the game on KingsXI side. Dhawan retired hurt first ball costed the game for SRK as well who could not up the scoring rate which eventually fell short of target. Williamson contributed well from SRH side but not enough to put SRH over the fence. In the end Shakib heroics not enough for SRH either.
It was a good game of cricket at the end with superb Gayle hammering, a very entertaining day to watch T20 game. Your comments?
