What a day of cricket, it was another exciting day of T20 game down the wire until the last ball, Kings XI posted a low score of 143 DD could not get over the sub-par total. DD made a mess, they fell behind the chase as wickets fell at regular intervals. KXIP bowlers namely Tye, Rajpoot, Mujeeb and Ashwin did well by putting pressure on the DD batsmen not allowing them to score freely and thereby pushing the asking rate up, Sran bowled well in his last over denying runs to the DD batsmen at the death that ultimately pushed DD away from victory. Captain Ashwin used his bowlers intelligently rotating the bowlers and tightening the noose, his move to bowl Mujeeb in the last over paid off.
DD started off well by winning the toss and electing to bowl first, they made some changes by bringing in Pritvi Shaw, Avesh Khan, Dan Christian and Liam Plunkett. They bowled well by restricting KXIP in the powerplay, Avesh khan bowled magnificently at the start and also fielded well by taking an excellent catch to dismiss the dangerous KL Rahul early. Plunkett playing the first game of IPL of his career bowled well with figures of 3-17 in 4 overs, Dan Christian also doing well. Overall the DD bowlers improved a lot in the bowling department compared to the previous games.
