Despite ABD back in the RCB side, RCB posted a poor total of 127 runs, only other change was Partiv Patel coming in for Manan Vohra scoring a half century in his first match with RCB, the RCB batsmen fell like a deck of cards, CSK bowling was excellent and looked like they have reached a good combination of bowling attack with CSK getting David Willey to play the first game of IPL. David Willey along with Ngidi bowling excellent line and length and keeping the batsmen under pressure. RCB batsmen could not capitalize on the spinners either who had an excellent day today not giving any whip, Harbajan Singh and Ravinder Jadeja taking wickets at regular intervals forced the batsmen to make errors and get out early. Again Bravo bowled well at the death. The pitch was dry and the ball kept low which helped the spinnesr utilize the pitch conditions to the fullest which they did.
CSK batsmen needing just 128 runs were relaxed and scoring runs very easily, Altough Watson was out early, the cool Rayudu again coming in at a different position to bat than previously timed and hit the ball sweetly. The CSK batsmen scored runs when they needed, RCB could not defend their low score, when oppurtunities came they dropped crucial catches and poor fielding as well has put them to the bottom of the table. Had Partiv held onto the catches of MSD and Bravo then the match could have been an interesting finish.
