SRH registered their first win on KKR homeground Eden Gardens with bowlers and fielders doing an excellent job of bowling and fielding restricting KKR to low total of 138. The bowlers bowled well with Buvi, Shakib Al Hasan and Stanlake doing well, bowling with pace and accuracy to restrict the batsmen. KKR batsmen were uncomfortable to Rashid unable to pick his googlies, Stanlake was man of the match with 2-21 bowled well to take the wickets of dangerous Andre Russell and Nitish Rana. Captain Kane Williamson made smart decisions and did well in rotating the bowlers, bringing in the right bowlers at the right time. The SRH fielders especially Manish Pandey took excellent catches and the rest saving useful fours and sixes.
KKR lost momentum with rain interruption, 3 new men on KKR side today in this game, young S Gill could not impress with bat coming low down the order, under-19 fast bowler Mavi introduced in the late overs could not impress either. 3 SRH men namely Yusuf, Shakib and Pandey playing against their previous team KKR did very well and contributed in all departments batting, bowling and fielding, KKR fans still cheered to their old heroes.
Kane williamson again did very with batting scoring 50 off 44 balls, batted brilliantly against spin, guiding his team towards victory, the game turned interesting at the very end with the wickets of Kane Williamson and Shakib Al Hasan but Yusuf and Hooda saw SRH were home within 19 overs.
