Sun Risers Hyderabad too hot for Rajasthan Royals with an all round performance, the surface was very nice where the ball was coming nicely but RR could not capitalize on it even though they had the best batting lineup. RR lost too many wickets in the middle overs and could not get any partnership going. Hyderabad on the other hand were good in all areas that included bowling as well fielding, SS Kaul was the pick of the bowlers with very good bowling figures 2-17. Everything went right for Sunrises with a crucial run-out and taking some exciting catches.
Not enough runs on the board, needing 126 to win, RR lost their chances with Shikar Dhawan been dropped in the very first over by the captain Rahane, Dhawan made them pay the price by scoring most of runs. SRH missing David Warner did very good to win the match in 15 overs with excellent leadership, responsibility and execution from Kane Williamson. RR did not bowl in the right areas bowling too short and too wide giving enough wipe for the batsman to play their shots, Shikar dhawan played with positive intent to finish the game with enough balls to spare
A lot to take home for RR, they need to learn to apply enough pressure on the opposition with positive leadership, have a game plan for every opposition bowler. Your comments?
