Great stuff from SRH bowling death overs and restricting MI to a low total of 147, pitch was slow and the ball was stopping, not coming onto the bat easily. It was a great day of cricket with SRH bowlers dominating the bowling department, Rashid khan was the pick of bowlers with 1-13 with 18 dot balls. Captain Williamson showed a lot of faith on Rashid by giving him the 18th over to bowl. SRH showed no signs of missing Buvi bowling with SS Kaul and Sandeep sharma showing great character bowling wicket to wicket attacking the stumps. MI batsmen did not fair well with batting but useful contributions from Lewis, Yadav and Pollard reached a decent total to defend.
In reply SRH opening batsmen started well with a useful innings yet again from Shikar Dhawan, but an unbelievable spell from the MI local boy Markande put the brakes on SRH batsmen, Deepak Hooda had a brief partnership with YK Pathan but Pathan fell trying to clear the short ball from Bumrah, Bumrah and Fiz dismantled the tail needing 7 runs of last 6 balls, the match went down the wire and the fans were put through a ringer until the last ball was bowled. Hooda and Stanlake made sure SRH reached home. Full marks to MI bowlers applying full pressure to SRH batsmen and creating a ray a hope of winning, better luck next time. Your comments?
