Man of the Match Shane Watson showed why he is considered one of the greatest all rounders of the world by delivering a perfect batting and bowling performance for CSK in this match, he came to open the innings for CSK with a lot of expectations due to a devastating loss in the previous game (Match 12 – CSK Vs KingsXI) Dropped in the first slip in powerplay, Watson made RR pay by scoring a hundred in 51 balls. With the departure of Rayudu early, Raina contributed well with Watson after coming off the injury. None of the RR bowlers impressed except S Gopal with an exceptional figures of 3-20 in 4 overs.
RR were bowled out for 140 chasing a massive total of 140, Ben Stokes was the lone wolf fighting for victory. Top and middle order collapsed with the exception of Butler giving company to Stokes from an offcutter from BJ Bravo, RR went spiraling downhill after that.
RR seriously needs to fix their issues with both bat and ball, I think they need some confidence and someone from both bowling and batting needs to take the initiative to get on track, otherwise they will end up in the bottom this season. Your thoughts/Comments ?
